I have been single for such a long time and I notice that whenever someone finally notices me and have taken interest of me, another guy will always suddenly appear and taken interest of me, and some other random guy would also appear and express his interest, and so on and so forth.
This has happened several times.
Suffice to say, the situation can be aptly described as "a single ovum being the point of interest of several sperms".
